Data Services Programdata location
We installed DS 4.2 SP4 on d drive. Server has 2 drives. C drive is for Windows and D drive is for DS installation. D drive has big partition and C is small partition.
But all Data services logs are storing in c:\programdata\sap businessobjects\dataservices. How to change this path to d drive instead of C drive?

What is the reason to use function CURRENCY_AMOUNT_BAPI_TO_SAP ?
I had a quick look at this function, it seems to me that you need to have the number format in this format: 100000,21 so you need to replace the . with , and , with .
Try run that function in your SAP system, goto SE37 and you can test it yourself and see which format your system will accept.

BPC error: Work status was not enabled
Hi Experts,
I am getting an error when I try to configure the work-status in a model.
When I enable data locking and save I get an error message "Work status was not enabled. See details "
However, the details portion is blank. Screen shot below
I am working on BPC 10.1 NW standard Release 810, SP 5

so, l_o is initial.but when i using xmlspy to test the webservice, it is successful.
then, i activited the full trace of soamanager, and i found the interface was excute success
also, i get the response parameters l_o successful

IW41 approval
I have a couple questions regarding time confirmation.
- Does IW41 replace CAT2 or does it have to be used in conjunction with it?
- Once time is entered against a work order using IW41, is there an approval screen for the department head to approve his/her workers?

Did you also check that the mapping UDF executed correctly? Not sure what type of PI system you have (dual or single stack), but try to check in the DynamicConfiguration section of the SOAP header after the mapping. Make sure the attribute TServerLocation is populated.

4. Check all roles assigned correctly ..

New OpenSQL (7.4SP8) compare these select statements
With the new enhancements to OpenSQL I think these two select statements are equivalent:
select point, atinn, psort into table @data(lt_mpoints) from equi join imptt on eqart = @c_eqtyp_template and objnr = imptt~mpobj.
select point, atinn, psort into table @data(lt_mpoints) from equi join imptt on objnr = imptt-mpobj where eqart = @c_eqtyp_template.
Is there any advantage of using one over the other?

However, the basic process is just to import it. You should make sure that you have backups first. Note that there are some options when importing that will help you through controlling what gets overwritten. Best practice is always to make sure that your active provisioning framework is renamed so that when you import the new version it will not cause conflicts. I've never really had to upgrade my frameworks so hopefully someone out there will have some "hands on" advice to share.

Se cambia el valor del campo "Importe del impuesto" al copiar documentos de Marketing
tengan todos un cordial saludo,
De manera formal solicito su colaboración con el siguiente caso que se viene presentando en nuestros clientes:
Cuando se copia un documento de marketing a otro y en el documento base se ha aproximado manualmente el campo "Importe del impuesto", el sistema no conserva el valor que viene del documento base, sino que hace nuevamente el calculo del "Importe de impuesto". Esto genera un reproceso ya que se están usando diferentes documentos tales como "Oferta de compra", "Orden de compra" y "Factura de provedores" o " Factura de anticipo a proveedores" y en cada uno de estos documentos el usuario debe actualizar manualmente el valor del campo (Esto se debe a que para estas empresas no es funcional el proceso de redondeo que hace el sistema automáticamente ya que se aplica a todo el documento y solo se necesita para los impuestos, por ende se optó por hacer el ajuste manual (Una BF colocada en el campo redondea, pero no se pudo configurar para que se actualice automáticamente) del campo en el primer documento de la cadena que es la oferta de compra, pero debido a la situación expuesta el sistema no guarda el valor ingresado al copiarlo en documentos siguientes)
Estos son los pantallazos:
1) Creación de orden de servicio (Orden de compra), campo "Importe del impuesto" con valor original calculado por el sistema
2) Aproximación del "Importe del impuesto" aproximado
3) Orden de compra creada con el "Importe del impuesto aproximado"
4) Finalmente se copia la orden de compra 741 a una factura de proveedores y el sistema vuelve a calcular el "Importe del impuesto" sin tener en cuenta el valor aproximado en el documento base.
Los pantallazos y las pruebas realizadas corresponden a Sap 9.1 PL 3.
Agradezco su valiosa colaboración y los aportes brindados.

There is a common misconception that Design Studio desktop apps need to be "converted" to run on mobile devices. In practice, if you intend to target both mobile and desktop devices, it's usually not as simple as just switching the theme as an afterthought. Instead, the application needs to be designed from the beginning in such a way as to be compatible with the screen sizes, following a "mobile first" approach . This usually involves implementing a responsive layout.
In my opinion, the original black mobile themes are now outdated. If you want to target desktop and mobile, I would suggest using the new Blue Crystal theme, which is compatible with all device types. When designing the application, you should try to use a responsive layout rather than a fixed layout, so that the content adapts to the screen size. I tried installing NWDS 7.11 CE recently and then run the update manager, but it was unsuccessful. My guess is that the update site might no longer be available.
I'd suggest that you open a call with SAP about this.
